SUMMARY

 

The Florida Sales Manager position has overall responsibility for driving sales within Balance’s Florida market.  The Florida Sales Manager manages the sales activities to ensure that Florida meets a weekly revenue target between $200, 000 to $300, 000 per week.
 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

Sales and Client Service
  • Motivate, educate, encourage and support outside sales reps to exceed sales goals and bring out the best of their individual talents
  • Model and demonstrate winning presentation and closing techniques
  • Develop and implement strategies that successfully target potential customers
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders in assigned area
  • Coordinate sales and internal staff in the design, planning, organization, setup, startup and staffing of new client accounts. This includes prospecting and marketing.
  • Prospect and close new accounts, develop and expand the volume of business in existing accounts.
  • Responsible for sales, revenue and profitability growth through client development visits to existing accounts and for account retention through client and service employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure delivery of quality client service to all accounts in the assigned territory by working closely with service and operation staff and managers.
  • Establish regular, proactive communication with existing accounts to uncover and service problems and work with operation staff and managers to correct and prevent future service problems.
  • Monitor core employees’ performance of regular "pump calls," conduct client visits, client needs analysis and coordinate all service efforts with the Sales personnel.
  • Creation and implementation of market strategic plan.
  • Join civic and business networking groups to establish and develop business relationships

 

Finance and Operations
  • Responsible for all facets of Profit and Loss (“P&L”) management, gross revenue, expenses, profitability and monitoring key Florida performance measurements such as margin, assignment fill rates, client retention and accounts receivables.
  • Supervise the Florida Sales staff.
  • Monitor client’s accounts receivables to ensure all meet and/or exceed Company guidelines for timely payment. Work proactively with Credit and Collections department to minimize delinquency rate.
  • Perform client on-boarding meetings, client exit interviews, and client customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Utilize the Company’s Software system to monitor performance in order to achieve goals and objectives for Florida. Performance measurements include, but are not limited to, weekly sales volume, margin percentage, client retention, unbilled hours and fill rate of job assignments.
  • Help maintain the office appearance and cleanliness.

 

Safety and Workers Compensation
  • Minimize Workers Compensation expense by ensuring that Client Job Site Safety Inspections are completed on each new job site.

 

Management, Human Resources and Training

 
  • Identify, recruit, screen and select internal sales staff in conjunction with the Service Manager to meet personal and company objectives. 
  • Ensure that all new Florida Sales staff employees are properly trained through use of required Company approved materials.
  • Provide timely performance appraisals, as required by the Company, for Florida Sales staff. Identify development goals and performance objectives for direct reports.
