Job Title: Technician

Type of Role: Contract 

Shift / Hours: M-F 8:00 AM to 2:30 or 4:30 PM

Location: Gilroy, CA

Hourly Range: $20.00-$22.00 Hourly

Role and Responsibilities:

• Value Added Activities: Reviewing defective devices, firmware updates, Kit assembly
•  Track Returned Devices: Maintain a list (typically done with a shared spreadsheet) to monitor returned devices of interest to the engineering teams.
• Conduct Device Diagnostics: Perform diagnostics on incoming devices that are relevant to the engineering teams and document findings in the shared spreadsheet.
• Perform VAS activities assigned by supervisor

Skills and Experience:

• Curiosity and Interest: A keen curiosity in electronic devices and their functionality.
•  Technical Knowledge: Ability to read schematics and the use of basic electrical tools such as multimeters, USB meters, etc.
• Instruction Following: Ability to follow written instructions detailing diagnostic tests for failed devices.
• Discipline and Consistency: A disciplined and consistent approach to investigations.
• Documentation Proficiency: Capability to document findings clearly and consistently using Google Docs and Sheets.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• English Spanish speaking a plus
