Job Title: Machine Operator
Type of Role: Contract to Hire
Shift / Hours: Mon-Thurs (some Fri & Sat) 5:30am – 4:30pm
Location: Selma, Tx
Hourly Range: $18+ depending on experience
Role and Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor food manufacturing equipment to ensure consistent product quality and production efficiency.
- Set up machines, adjust settings, and perform changeovers according to production specifications.
- Inspect products to verify they meet quality standards, including weight, appearance, and packaging requirements.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety guidelines, and sanitation procedures.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Accurately complete production documentation, batch records, and quality control reports.
- Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns to maintenance or supervisors promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet daily production goals.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating machines in a food-processing environment
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable working in hot & cold warehouse environments
- Able to stand for up to 12 hrs a day
