Job Title: PCB EHS Manager
Type of Role: Direct Hire
Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Location: Burlington, Kansas
Salary Range: 80000.00 – 120000.00
Job Summary
The PCB Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professional is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role supports safe PCB manufacturing operations involving chemicals, equipment, and materials while promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Role and Responsibilities:
Environmental Compliance
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, OSHA, DOT).
• Manage wastewater treatment systems and discharge permits specific to PCB fabrication.
• Oversee hazardous waste handling, storage, labeling, and disposal.
• Maintain environmental permits, reporting, and records (air, water, waste).
• Support ISO 14001 environmental management system compliance.
Health & Safety Programs
• Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Conduct job hazard analyses (JHA) and risk assessments.
• Ensure proper chemical handling, storage, and spill prevention.
• Manage PPE requirements and safety training programs.
• Lead emergency response planning, drills, and incident investigations.
Chemical & Process Safety
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories.
• Review and approve new chemicals, materials, and processes.
• Support safe operation of wet process areas (etch, plating, desmear, solder mask).
• Coordinate industrial hygiene monitoring (air quality, noise, exposure).
Training & Culture
• Deliver EHS training for employees, supervisors, and contractors.
• Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in safety committees and employee engagement programs.
• Enforce compliance with safety rules and corrective actions.
Audits & Reporting
• Conduct internal EHS audits and inspections.
• Support external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Track incidents, near misses, corrective actions, and safety metrics.
• Prepare EHS reports for management review.
Cross-Functional Support
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Quality teams.
• Support new equipment installations and facility modifications.
• Participate in NPI and process change reviews from an EHS perspective.
Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• 3–7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing (PCB or chemical processing preferred)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and hazardous waste regulations
• Experience with wastewater treatment and chemical management
• Strong documentation, communication, and training skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in PCB fabrication or electronics manufacturing
• ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 experience
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent
• Experience with emergency response and spill control
