Job Title: EHS Technician

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Location: East El Paso, TX

Hourly Range: $20.50

EHS Technician – Job Summary
We’re seeking a proactive and detail?oriented EHS Technician to support Environmental, Health & Safety programs at our manufacturing facility. This role focuses on hazard identification, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe work environment. The technician will work closely with the EHS & Compliance Manager and assist with internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety walkthroughs to identify and correct hazards.
• Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies across all shifts.
• Assist with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 documentation and process checks.
• Inspect safety equipment (fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, PPE, etc.).
• Manage hazardous materials and waste, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
• Support incident investigations and corrective action plans.
• Conduct safety orientations and toolbox talks.
• Monitor high?risk activities (Hot Work, Fall Protection) for permit and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, including inspections, training logs, and SDS files.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial safety or manufacturing EHS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basic OSHA 1910 standards.
• OSHA 10?Hour certification required; OSHA 30?Hour preferred.
• Experience with ISO systems is a plus.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to respond quickly in emergencies.
• Ability to work in industrial and construction environments.
