Job Title: Maintenance Team Lead
Location: Sacramento, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $75,000 – $98,000 annually (DOE)
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday (4×10 schedule)
Shifts:
Day Shift: 5:30 AM start
Swing Shift: 1:30 PM start
On-Call: Required for emergency situations
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to oversee daily maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will lead a team of technicians, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance team members on assigned shift
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and regulations
- Assign daily tasks, distribute work orders, and manage schedules
- Review and ensure completion of maintenance and repair work
- Partner with the Maintenance Planner to prioritize and adjust workloads
- Serve as the point of contact for emergency maintenance issues
- Communicate updates, timelines, and costs to the Maintenance Manager
- Coordinate with operations and external contractors
- Ensure smooth shift transitions through clear communication
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Monitor inventory and recommend improvements or replacements
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Maintenance, or related field
OR 6+ years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience - 4+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) tools
- Experience in food manufacturing or GMP environments

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and machinery

- Availability for on-call support and occasional weekend work
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
