Job Title: Inspection & Repair Operator

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours: 3 shifts available. 1st, 2nd, 3rd – 40+ occasional OT

Location: N Austin TX

Pay Range: 

The Inspection & Repair Operator performs inspection, touch-up, and repair of electronic assemblies and subassemblies to ensure products meet workmanship, quality, and process standards.
 

Role and Responsibilities:

• Set up workstations using correct inspection documents, screens, and workflow instructions
• Perform in-process and online go/no-go inspections on electronic assemblies and subassemblies
• Identify defects using workmanship and quality standards
• Perform touch-up, rework, and minor repairs, including soldering
• Read and interpret manufacturing instructions, visual aids, schematics, and drawings using microscopes or magnification as required
• Scan and track products using shop floor control or manual tracking systems
• Adjust or process materials and components to meet electrical, dimensional, or quality requirements
• Communicate process issues to peers, leads, supervisors, or manufacturing support
• Document inspection results, including counts inspected and rejected
• Complete assigned work on schedule

Skills and Experience:

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Understanding of manufacturing line processes
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, diagrams, and visual aids
• Inspection and soldering skills (basic to advanced depending on level)
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics at higher grades
• Use of hand tools, inspection tools, and specialized equipment
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills appropriate to role level
• Communication skills for working with team members and leadership
