Job Purpose:

Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) develop, implement, and validate CMM inspection programs and work holding. These individuals are responsible for ensuring all parameters required for the project are captured to support internal and external reporting requirements. Will support, back-up and mentor other CMM team members as necessary.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to verify dimensions per blueprints and specifications

• Program and/or coordinate measurement machines to perform automated inspections

• Perform routine maintenance of equipment and tooling, including preventive maintenance and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area.

• Update CMM software and troubleshooting

• Inspect machined parts, components, assemblies and materials to comply with guidelines. Document inspection results and provide written reports.

• Troubleshoot instruments/equipment requiring calibration

• Read/interpret specifications/drawings

• Utilize different inspection equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, gauges,

• Create process improvement methods

Education and Experience: 

• Manufacturing Experience/Background is required (quality inspection preferred)

• 3+ years experience with CMMs required

• Experience with Micro- Vu CMM is a preferred

• Experience with PC-DMIS programming is preferred

• Experienced in Quality Inspection utilizing visual and dimensional methods.

• ISO 9001/AS9100 inspection experience is a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication

Additional Information: 

• This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.   

• Must successfully complete all applicable pre-employment screenings. I.e. background check, drug screening, physical and/or employment verification as required, etc. 

Job Location:  

• San Jose, CA

Shifts Available: 

• 1st Shift – 1st-Day – Monday – Friday 6am-2:30pm

• Overtime and some Saturday’s 

Job Types:? 

• Full-Time, Contract to Hire 

Pay:? 

• $19.00 – $23.00/hr. (DOE)
