Balance Staffing is seeking to hire several Debug/Failure Analysis Technicians to support a leading integrated manufacturing solutions provider serving the fastest-growing segments of the global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) market located in San Jose, CA.

Job Duties: 

• Responsible for the hands-on technical analysis of devices and components to determine rapid root cause for issues that are seen in testing, manufacturing, and in the field. 

• Perform both electrical fault isolation and physical failure analysis for root cause diagnosis 

• Document and report any significant findings with photographs or samples to appropriate engineering team, Manufacturing, or Operations personnel and data entry. 

• Identify root cause of customer returned product failures using principles and electrical test equipment. 

• Enter information into a database concise failure analysis information, communicate effectively, and deliver the results precisely to the Management team both internally and externally  

• Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation. 

Job Requirements: 

• Minimum 2-4 years manufacturing electronic test technician experience required 

• Troubleshoot down to the component level 

• Strong demonstrable experience with electrical test equipment: Power Supplies, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, and other common measurement equipment 

• Must display the ability to read schematics, understand and follow test process instructions. 

• Moderate written and verbal communication skills required 

• Demonstrated detailed root cause analysis troubleshooting skills 

• Able to lift 20-25 pounds 

Additional Information:  

• This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.    

• Must successfully complete all applicable pre-employment screenings. I.e., background check, drug screening, physical and/or employment verification as required, etc.  

Job Location:   

• San Jose, CA 

Shifts Available:  

• 1st Shift – 1st-Day – Monday – Friday 6:00am-2:30pm OT as needed + Saturdays  

Job Types:

• Full-Time, Contract to Hire  

Pay:

• $28.00-$38.00 DOE
