We are seeking a talented Quality Manager for our client in the Austin, TX area.


The successful QA Manager will be:

  • Ensuring that collecting, analyzing and providing data to the organization to allow for improvement activities is provided.
  • Providing pro-active and effective management of the Quality Management System and providing the status to executive management.,
  • Providing leadership to a group of qualified, motivated and responsible quality employees.
  • Focused on preventive and improvement actions to help ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Experienced in metal fabrication and machining. (Forming, welding, painting, machining of metal)



  • Management of plant quality personnel; ensuring they are qualified for, and are successfully completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Interface directly with customers and suppliers to ensure that potential quality issues are eliminated before they become problems.
  • Responsible for overall plant quality, data generation, MRB & RMA processing of Corrective & Preventive Action.
  • As part of the senior management team, it is expected that you will be able to provide technical guidance on “Quality Tools” and their use.
  • Build strong sense of teamwork and purpose within the department and between departments.
  • Responsible for performance reviews, training and mentoring opportunities to achieve maximum effectiveness from department personnel.
  • Ensures appropriate resources (work instructions, tooling, measuring equipment, etc.) are available for department personnel to perform their jobs.
  • Reviews, understands, interprets and communicates corporate vision, mission, strategies and goals to all personnel.
  • Provides technical expertise to departmental personnel when needed.



  • 10+ years of successful related management experience.
  • Advanced degree in science or engineering preferred
  • 7+ years of hands on quality supervisory experience
  • Responsible for all site quality..
  • Decision-making ability and ability to positively influence & manage people in a Team Environment
  • Certified Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Certified Auditor or Lead Assessor in an industry QMS. (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc)
  • Prior Sustainability experience (Labor, Ethics, Safety, Environment) to drive improvements in our global footprint.
  • Presentation and training expertise
  • The ability to independently organize and lead productive meetings
  • Operational clean room experience
  • Lead and train quality engineering team. Evaluate team and individual performance on an on-going basis.
  • Drive continual improvement projects to improve quality and production efficiency.
  • Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Bilingual preferred. (Spanish/English)
