Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Senior Manager (SCSM) manages the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Implements a strategy to ensure that critical process run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Monitors suppliers and service providers for quality and performance.

The scope of duties includes:

  • Distribution Management
  • Supply Chain Optimization
  • Acceleration of Parts Receiving Process
  • Vendor Relationship Management
  • Supply Chain Quality Assurance/Control Program Management
  • Contract Compliance

The Supply Chain Senior Manager has extensive knowledge of the company’s products and both a broad as well as deep understanding of department processes. His/her excellent communication and problem solving skills enables the SCM to interact efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Identify ways to help manage and strengthen existing client relationships
  • Has responsibility to ensure availability of raw materials and parts to support manufacturing production
  • Identify and drive opportunities to reduce supplier costs providing improved value and performance to the company and our customers
  • On a rotational schedule, perform supplier operational audits focusing upon areas determined by the company
  • Monitor vendor performance and proactively identify potential issues and risks with their operations to establish and track performance against KPI’s for safety, quality, service, cycle time, and financial targets
  • Provide monthly reports about those KPI’s including associated performance dashboard on ERP
  • Utilizes supply chain and financial modelling tools including MRP
  • Executes risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and supply chain operation strategies
  • Participates as an experienced supply chain expert in cross-functional teams analyzing supply chain performance and potential alternatives to achieve customer contract targets and may lead specific projects

Customer Project Related Responsibilities

  • Works with internal and external stakeholders (Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Key Accounts) to develop and communicate the supplier plan in accordance with the customer project plan/contract and company operations need

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Negotiation of non-purchasing agreements with suppliers (NDA, cooperation / co-innovation agreements, frame contracts)
  • Program management of supplier related programs
  • Manage supplier relationship and development (in cooperation with Engineering)
  • Ongoing development of key strategic supplier partnerships
  • Solves complex supply chain issues and drives tactical and strategic initiatives, such as leading process standardizations or executing program strategies


  • Manage Purchasing Department incl. QC Operations
  •  Other duties as assigned.


  • Business fluent knowledge of English (other languages are a plus)
  • Ability to think strategically, but also is extremely comfortable with granularity (think globally, but can act regionally, when necessary)
  • Ability to travel at least 20 weeks per year
  • Analyze data in the supplier management database
  • Four-year technical or business college degree or at least five (5) Years of Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy in a manufacturing environment
  • Five (5) years Supplier and Contract Management
  • Working experience of relevant ERP software, preferably Odoo
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to organize large amounts of information into coherent and meaningful format. Must also possess effective interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities while working on multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
