ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience running both lathe and mill machines, specifically older models that differ significantly from modern CNC machines. You will be working with vintage equipment including Wilton brand lathe machines from the 1940s-50s and a Chevalier brand mill machine. This role requires precision, strong time management, and the ability to work under pressure to meet client-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate lathe machines and mill machines.
Ensure complete accuracy in measurements.
Perform threading, feeding, and use of dial calipers.
Turn down shafts and work on bearing journals.
Create custom parts primarily for farm equipment.
Utilize personal tooling, with additional tools provided by the client as needed.
Manage time effectively to complete jobs as required.
Collaborate effectively with the team.
Perform spot welding as needed.
Requirements:

Certified Machinist A PLUS!!!
At least 1 year of experience operating lathe and mill machines.
Own tooling is required, though additional tools will be supplied.
Proficiency with vintage machinery.
Strong understanding of machining terminology (e.g., threading, feeding, dial calipers).
Ability to produce custom parts to client specifications.
Good time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Welding experience preferred.
Ability to work well within a team environment.

Job Location: Stockton, CA
Job Types: · Full-Time, Contract to hire
Pay: $28 to 32.00/HR Depending on experience
Shift: Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Work Location: · In-Person
