Job Title: SAP FICO Techno Functional Consultant
Type of Role: Contract
Expected Length of Contract: long term, on rolling 6 month terms
Location: Fountain Valley, CA
Hourly Range: starting at $65ph, open based on experience
As an SAP FICO Techno-Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for both technical and functional aspects of SAP FICO implementations and support. Your role will involve collaborating with business stakeholders, analyzing financial processes, and providing solutions that align with organizational goals. You will play a crucial role in designing, configuring, and customizing SAP FICO modules to meet business requirements.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Work with business users to gather and analyze financial requirements, ensuring alignment with SAP FICO functionalities.
- System Configuration: Configure SAP FICO modules (Financial Accounting and Controlling) according to business needs, including setting up organizational structures, ledger configurations, and financial processes.
- Technical Development: Develop and modify ABAP programs, user exits, and enhancements to meet business requirements. Collaborate with ABAP developers and technical teams for complex scenarios.
- Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP FICO with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD) and third-party systems. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure all changes are thoroughly tested and validated before deployment.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, customizations, and processes. Prepare user manuals and training materials.
- Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP FICO issues. Assist users with problem resolution and system enhancements.
- Training and Mentoring: Train end-users on SAP FICO functionalities and best practices. Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Project Management: Assist in project planning, scoping, and resource management. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Relevant SAP certifications in FICO are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SAP FICO consultant with a strong understanding of both technical and functional aspects with least 3 complete SAP FICO implementations required.
- Language: Professional level Korean/ English bilingual proficiency required
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP FICO modules, ABAP programming, SAP integration, and reporting tools. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, and management.
- Project Management: Experience managing or participating in SAP FICO projects, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team success.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with global or large scale SAP FICO implementations.
- Knowledge of additional SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PS).
- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
