Job Title: Forklift Operator Sit Down
Type of Role: Contract to Hire
Expected Length of Contract: 520 hours before conversion
Shift / Hours: M-F 630am-3pm
Location: Phoenix
Hourly Range: $19/hr
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a commitment to safety. This role involves operating a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and move products and materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick, stack, and stage orders as per production schedules and shipping requirements.
- Inspect forklifts daily before and after use to ensure they are in good working condition; report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using RFID scanners, barcodes, or manual logs as required.
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as organizing inventory, restocking, and cleaning work areas to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or distribution center environment (6 months-1 year preferred)
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RFID scanners or warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures for forklifts.
