Mechanical Assembler
Performs a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies per work instruction and/or drawings. Assembles structures, parts, components, and position, align, and fasten components to skid, back planes or units by using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Prepares all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing.
- Positions, aligns, and adjusts parts for proper fit and assembly.
- Assists Electrical assemblers in performing electrical assembly tasks.
- Identifies and reports any faulty components or hazardous conditions during the assembly process.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Min 2 years’ experience in the switchgear manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Google suite, MS Office or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Ability to follow work instructions and procedures
- Works Consistently under safety regulations
- Lift demand: Lift up to 60lb on an occasional basis
- Overtime required when needed
This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
