Job Title: Director of Operations 

Type of Role: Direct Hire

Shift / Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
but this position may require longer hours, including weekends, during the company’s olive harvest season, which typically lasts around five weeks but can vary each year.

Location: Stockton, CA 

Salary Range: $150,000 to $200,000 depending  on experience

Role and Responsibilities:

The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of the Company’s operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, and fields. This role requires a visionary leader with strong strategic and leadership skills to ensure smooth, efficient business operations. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term operational plans that drive profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.

This position involves strategic oversight across multiple departments, including production, maintenance, procurement, logistics, and fields. You will lead the development of operational strategies, manage operations teams, and ensure alignment with the company’s goals and mission.

  • Lead overall operations, ensuring the efficient management of production, maintenance, packaging, fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals to drive quality and profitability.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop 3–5 year strategic plans that align with company objectives.
  • Oversee the operational budget, ensuring cost efficiency and maximizing profitability across all operational functions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and use performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement through methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments (HR, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain) and external vendors to align operations with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements while driving operational best practices.
  • Manage high-level vendor relationships and agreements to optimize production capabilities.
  • Spearhead initiatives to maintain operational excellence, quality control, and safety across all facilities.
  • Mentor and develop senior management team members to ensure their professional growth and effective leadership across departments.
  • Oversee the implementation of cutting-edge operational technologies (ERP, CRM, SCADA) to streamline operations.
  • Maintain a focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility in all operations.

Skills and Experience:
 

  • 15+ years of experience in Operations Management, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing or food industry.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and managing multi-site or large-scale operations.
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide senior teams.
  • Expertise in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Extensive experience with ERP, CRM, and operational software systems.
  • Experience in leading change management initiatives and scaling operations for growth.
