Job Title: Test Technician II

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 10pm – Must be flexible with OT (8-10 hour shifts)

Location: Manor, Texas

Hourly Range: $20.00 – $21.00 + 10% shift differential 

Assists in complex tests involving the simultaneous use of a wide variety of standard test equipment.  Determines quality of equipment being tested by checking test results against specific test procedures and data sheets.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Performs testing and troubleshooting of general electronic, electro-mechanical assemblies, automation systems, and machines in order to meet production schedule.
• Explains test results and schedules to other team members, area leads, or supervisors.
• Provides input and recommendations to area lead and other team members on improvement opportunities based on data and observations.
• Maintains adherence to production, test, and quality system procedures; retrieves test procedures from corporate databases. 
• Utilizes both manual and automated tests to perform system-level testing to ensure product quality and reliability in accordance with company specifications.
• Works cooperatively on the project work team; documents and communicates actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Skills and Experience:

• Excellent communications skills and computer literacy is essential.
• Must have a sense of urgency and the ability to stay on schedule.
• Must have the ability to work well with coworkers.
• Ability to work 2^nd shift or Weekend shift.
• Punctual, dependable, and the ability to work extended shifts and/or weekend shifts with short notice.
• Extensive knowledge of trouble shooting skills, quality, and process orientation
• Good understanding of test fixtures and equipment
