Our law firm is looking for a civil litigation paralegal to join our litigation team in the Carmel office which consists of experienced litigators, paralegals and support members. An ideal candidate will have five (5) years of litigation paralegal experience or more. There is room to grow and advance in this position. Our litigation paralegals serve as the backbone to our team. They manage all of the details throughout every phase of litigation through trial – including but not limited to pleadings, discovery, calendaring, assisting in depositions, exhibit preparation, witness interviews and research.

Litigation Paralegal Essential Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Resourceful research and analytical skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable adapting to new technology platforms
• Strong organizational skills
• Fluent with Court filings and service of process procedures
• Ability to make “shells” of pleadings
• Compile, proofread and revise drafts of legal documents and reports.
• Daily record keeping with primarily electronic and some hard copy filing of documents.
• Obtain relevant information from other organizations or agencies.
• Create and organize information, and generate reference tools for use by the office.
• Prepare and format legal documents.
• Maintain and update databases and tracking systems.
• Client communication.

Legal Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The candidate must meet the requirements of California Business and Professions Code, Section 6450 (a) governing persons holding themselves out as paralegals. Minimum five years of litigation experience.

Job Type: Direct Hire
$65,000 – $100,000+ depending on experience. Paralegals are eligible for bonuses based on billable hours and client referrals.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday          
8:30am – 5:30pm
