Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Type of Role: Full-Time

Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday, 6 AM – 2:30 PM / 4:30 PM

Location: Manor, TX

Hourly Range: $21/hr


About the Job:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining control over all inventory items purchased and produced, ensuring accurate tracking and analysis. This role includes managing inventory programs, resolving inventory issues, and supporting purchasing strategies while ensuring the company meets corporate goals. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with multiple departments are essential to success in this position.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory programs, including estimates, analyses, and reporting to management
  • Proactively increase product turns and meet corporate inventory goals
  • Provide recommendations for purchasing strategies and inventory management
  • Monitor purchase orders for issues such as over-commits, cancellations, and delays
  • Oversee the cycle count program, reconciliation, and external audits
  • Handle ECN control and follow-up on material disposition
  • Final review and reconciliation of work order variance and closure
  • Coordinate product transfers between company manufacturing sites
  • Other duties as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong presentation skills at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles, procedures, and standards
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Proficient in Excel and Access
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems, with Visual a plus
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
