We are seeking to hire a Machine Operator to support our client in Tracy, CA. Our client is a high-quality, full-line, portion controlled further processor of beef, pork, and poultry for the Military, Retail, Foodservice, and School channels.

Summary
Guided by our principals of Mutual Respect, Trust, Teamwork, Communication, and Responsibility, the Operator I is responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities within their department. This person must be able to undertake a combination of physical and mental work that ranges from filling out paperwork to routine communication of job assignments required. This individual must multitask, provide quick responses/solutions to unforeseen production problems, and must always exhibit a professional, efficient demeanor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare the assigned machine and the production line to complete orders efficiently
- Assign tasks to production line employees working on the assigned machine
- Relay clear instructions and procedures so that all tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Verify raw/pre-processed material on work order to ensure correct amount is available for production
- Process raw materials into the machine and monitor the production line to maximize quality and productivity
- Complete paperwork for QA and Production, and any other associated administrative tasks related to the production line
- Update records to show what’s been completed and report any issues to the Production Supervisor
- Motivate your team and show support and guidance when necessary
- Ensure all production machinery operates smoothly
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems
- Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and safety regulations
- Follow all safety guidelines; Report any work-related injuries to HR as soon as possible (no later than 24 hours)
- Monitor the production floor for any safety hazards and report issues to the Production Supervisor and/or HR
- Answer radio requests: Respond to questions and solve problems
- Inform the Production Supervisor of whereabouts, attendance, and activities; Proactively identify problems and potential problems, and offer possible solutions
- Required to fill various roles on the production floor including, but not limited to, Operator, Wrangler, Stager, Packager, or any other line job as required
- Show respect and sensitivity toward cultural differences; Promote a harassment and discrimination-free environment
- Adhere to company policies and Procedures; Uphold and support organizational goals and values
- Minimum Qualifications
- Minimal High School or GED
- 3 to 5 years experience with Meat Processing
- USDA Trained
- Advanced knowledge of GMPs; HACCP Certified
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
