Job Title: Tooling Tech

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours: 8:30pm-5am

Location: South San Antonio

Hourly Range: $26

Role and Responsibilities:

• Plans, devises, and fabricates various tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures to within precise specifications.

• Fix molds to create plastic parts for Toyota and Tesla to name a few

• Build Metal Racks

• Troubleshooting of any issues with machines or tools

• Modify or repair existing tools and dies.

• Work involves accomplishing welding that fuses different metals and withstands great strength demands while avoiding distortion.

• Will change cutting tools and adjust machine controls to ensure specified timing, clearances and tolerances

• Regulate equipment as necessary for the work performed.

• Will be working on multiple projects at a time

Skills and Experience:

• Mechanical Experience- repairing and servicing machines (either manufacturing or industrial)  

• (1+) yrs Manual Mill and Lathe Operator experience

• 1 yr + Experienced Troubleshoot and detecting equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends in case of emergencies with a good contact phone number

• Read sketches, blueprints, and engineering details

• Must have a stable work history with a strong reputation for quality

• Physically capable of loading parts, operating controls and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements

• Must be interested in learning 

• Measuring Tape

• Lockout and Tagout
