Type of Role: Contract to Hire
Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (May Require Odd Hours)
Location:South Austin, TX
Hourly Range: $18

About the Job:
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and upkeep in a manufacturing environment. This role requires independent work and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks in a hot environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, using hand tools, and handling general facility maintenance.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs as needed throughout the facility.
- Operate forklifts to transport materials and equipment safely.
- Collect and dispose of metal and wood shavings using large buckets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on machinery and facility infrastructure.
- Adapt to odd-hour work schedules when necessary for maintenance tasks.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience operating forklifts (certification preferred but not required).
- Proficiency with hand tools and general maintenance work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a hot environment with physically demanding tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
