Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Senior Electronic Assembler/BGA Repair Technician to assemble Circuit Card Assemblies using BOMs, drawings, and work instructions. The role requires advanced soldering skills, complex defect repair, and ECO rework. You’ll need experience in BGA removal, soldering, placement, reflow, and expertise in selecting BGA nozzles, stencils, and rework profiles. Experience with X-ray images and visual inspections is also needed to validate work.
Nature of Duties:
- Follow IPC 610 and J-Standards
- Read and understand documents, BOMs, work and ECO instructions
- Use BGA rework station, soldering station, and other tools
- Hand solder components down to 0201 sizes
- Repair circuits, lands, and surface mount pads
- Work with micro soldering and component rework processes
- Maintain high-quality standards (IPC 610 Class 3 and above)
Requirements:
- 3 years of BGA removal/replacement experience
- IPC soldering certification (current or within the past 3 years)
- Ability to handle RF components and miniature assemblies
- Fine dexterity and excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Information:
- This is an ITAR facility; applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required
