Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Type of Role: Contract to Hire
Expected Length of Contract: 6 months or longer
Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday
7:00am – 3:30pm
Location: San Jose, CA
Hourly Range: $18.00 – $21.00/hr. (DOE)
Role and Responsibilities:
- Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs.
- Performs packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials.
- Ensure raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards.
- May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.
- May assess draft and final label copy, using knowledge of labeling regulations.
- Minimize down time by reducing production rework and recalls.
Skills & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as inspector
- Have experience with high volume PCBA manufacturing environment
- Must have the ability to assemble products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams
- Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools, or production equipment
- Familiar with IPC 610
- Able to identify the Components Value
- Able to read ECO
- Must display the ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs)
- Must be familiar and able to operate an Automatic Optical Inspection machine
- Be available for overtime and weekend work as required in addition to a minimum of 40 hr./wk.
- Be able to read English and communicate well with others
