Job Title: Bottling Maintenance Mechanic

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours: Mid shift: 11am-10:30pm M-F, weekends and holidays

Location: Austin, TX

Hourly Range: $21 (depending on experience)


About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Bottling Maintenance Mechanic responsible for repairing, installing, and maintaining production and manufacturing equipment. This role requires performing inspections, troubleshooting issues, and conducting preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. The position reports to the Maintenance Lead and may require weekend or holiday work.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in plant packaging equipment.

  • Perform troubleshooting and adjustments to maximize efficiency.

  • Replace/repair motors, gearboxes, drive units, and other components.

  • Conduct packaging equipment changeovers for various container sizes.

  • Maintain records and downtime logs for equipment malfunctions and repairs.

  • Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices, safety, and audit standards.

  • Monitor performance and productivity to drive operational excellence.

  • Identify areas for improvement and update existing procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is required.

  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. overhead.

  • Commitment to safety and accident prevention.

  • Ability to maintain and promote a culture aligned with core company values.
