Job Title: Quality Control Associate
Type of Role: Temp to Hire
Shift / Hours:  Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, may vary
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range: $19.00/Hour
Department: Quality Assurance / Manufacturing
Reports To: Quality Control Supervisor / Quality Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Quality Control Technician to ensure the quality and functionality of electric fireplace units throughout the production process. The technician will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products to verify compliance with company standards, specifications, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test electric fireplace units and components (e.g., heating elements, flame effects, wiring) at various stages of production.
• Perform electrical safety and performance tests using multimeters, thermal cameras, insulation testers, etc.
• Ensure compliance with UL/CSA/CE standards and internal product specifications.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records, reports, and logs.
• Identify and report non-conformities and work closely with production to resolve issues.
• Support root cause analysis and assist in corrective/preventive action implementation.
• Conduct final quality checks before packaging and shipping.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including audits and process evaluations.
• Follow all safety and quality protocols strictly to ensure workplace safety and product reliability.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in electronics or quality preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in quality control, preferably in electrical appliances or similar manufacturing environments.
• Basic understanding of electrical components and safety standards.
• Proficiency in using measurement and testing tools (e.g., multimeters, calipers, gauges).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Fine motor skills for handling small parts and tools.
• May require the use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, etc.) in testing areas
