Job Title: HR Generalist
Type of Role: Contract
Expected Length of Contract: 4 MONTHS
Shift / Hours: Day Shift
Location: Fountain Valley, CA
Hourly Range: $35.00-$40.00/HR.

Utilize your HR Generalist experience as you provide guidance and support, addressing employee relation issues, policy and procedure interpretation, Compliance, training, organization development and supporting other HR activities.
Role and Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
• Investigations and grievances procedures and consultation
• Work collaboratively with ER Counsel.
• Achieves resolution to Employee Concerns problems by conducting fact finding investigations.
• Work with employees and managers to collect, evaluate and communicate relevant information and make recommendations on the appropriate corrective actions.
• Makes appropriate recommendations to management to resolve employee concerns.
• Develops leading indicators for employee concerns and monitors metrics and trends to improve processes and management of concerns including heading off potential issues.
• Maintain confidentiality with a professional and positive demeanor. Compliance:
• Take part in developing and maintaining internal HR policies and compliance procedures
• Liaison between the legal and human resources teams, and administering personnel practices, policy and employment laws and transfer procedures.
• Understands and is able to write policies and procures in accordance to California law
• Verifies I-9’s documentation
• Investigates a variety of Compliance related issues (e.g. EEOC, Harassment, ADA, Discrimination, employee disputes, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that effective, legally compliant resolutions are arrived at in a timely manner and within company guidelines
• Ensures compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations.

Required Skills, Attributes & Education:
• Minimum of BA/BA Degree in related field, HR or Business preferred or related work experience
• Minimum of 5 years in Human Resources field
• Strong understanding of California state and federal employment labor law and applications are essential.
• The ability to effectively organize work, and proficient in Word and Excel.
• Ability to work at a high level of autonomy to manage multiple ongoing issues and complex employee relations matters with minimum supervision.
