Job Title: Forklift Operator 

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours: 
M-F 
Day 7am-3:30pm
Swing 4pm-12:30am

Location: Tacoma, WA 

Hourly Range: $20-$21

Responsibilities

• Efficiently unload containers and load outbound trailers.
• Accurately pick warehouse orders
• Utilize mobile handheld scanning devices for inventory movement throughout the warehouse
• Safe forklift driving skills
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 Lbs.)
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope)
• Safely walk, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Adhere to company safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the warehouse (this may include non-forklift-related duties).
• Prompt, daily attendance at the assigned work location.

Requirements

• Must have Forklift/Sitdown/Standup/Reach experience and be able to pass a written and driving test
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.).
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and lift overhead while stacking, pushing/pulling freight and materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
• Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
• Good Attendance is Absolutely Critical.
• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Required)
