Job Title: HR Coordinator
Type of Role: Temp to Hire
Work Schedule: 1st Shift
- Schedule- Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Must be flexible with working overtime as neeed
Location: Salinas, CA
Salary Range: $30.00/Hour
SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bilingual HR Coordinator to join our team. This role will focus on optimizing our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) while providing comprehensive support across various HR functions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a strong understanding of HRIS platforms and a passion for enhancing HR operations. This individual will perform in accordance with company policies and follow all state and federal regulations.
This individual will maintain a clean and organized desk and office environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Serve as the primary HRIS administrator, ensuring accurate data entry, system configuration, and user access management.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement system updates, and enhance HRIS functionalities.
- Develop and maintain HRIS-related documentation, including user guides and training materials.
- Generate and analyze HRIS reports to support decision-making and compliance audits.
- Manage HR operations and the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, development, employee engagement, and maintaining personnel records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist performance management processes and communications, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
- Support the finance team with various accounting tasks.
- Serve as a resource for employee questions and provide HR support to staff and the Director of Human Resources.
- Serve as a backup for coordinating benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and communications.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in a coordinator or administrator role, with a focus on HRIS administration.
- Strong knowledge of wage and employment laws and regulations, both state and federal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Computer Skills:
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
- HRIS “PayCom” experience preferred
Language Skills:
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, co-workers, and management verbally and in writing
