Job Title: Senior SAP MM & Ariba Consultant
Type of Role: Contract
Expected Length of Contract: 6-12 months to start, but flexibility to extend longer term
Location: Fremont, CA – preferably onsite 5x a week, but could be flexible for hybrid workers
Hourly Range: $60-$70/hr
This role leads the design, implementation, and deployment of SAP MM solutions within S/4HANA projects, aligning technology with business goals in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The consultant collaborates with stakeholders to analyze processes, ensure system integration, and drive successful end-to-end delivery, while also mentoring junior team members and staying current with evolving SAP technologies.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Participate in SAP S/4 Hana projects (business requirements gathering, design, system configuration, test documentation and execution, delivery, and post go-live support)
- Lead the deployment of SAP MM implementation in S/4 Hana projects
- Analyze business processes and propose technical solution within your area of responsibility considering integration aspects and potential risks
- Identify dependencies in other SAP modules or 3rd party applications
- Prepare project documentation including functional and technical specifications
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and key partners to achieve successful completion of the project
- Mentor and support junior consultants, do trainings for your functional area
- Keep up to date with the latest SAP technologies
- Supervising business diagnosis and planning activities
- Analyzing and assuring quality of the data collected
- Assisting in formulating the specific solutions to address prioritized gaps
- Supervising business architecture and process design activities
- Assisting in the development of capabilities and performance measurements/KPIs
- Supervising business architecture implementation activities
- Defining testing and implementation activities for architectures, capabilities and processes
- Developing and testing business processes, capabilities, and architectures
Skills and Experience:
- Required to be Green Card Holder or US Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or similar is preferred.
- Profound experience of 10+ years in SAP Material Management module
- Strong knowledge and understanding of business processes in the areas of responsibility
- Good knowledge of integration with other SAP modules
- Good knowledge of integration with 3rd Party tools via EDI, IDOCs or other interfaces
- Must have prior experience in full lifecycle ECC or S/4 Hana Implementations and Rollouts on large international projects
- Previous experience with Master Data management / Master data migration
- Awareness of latest SAP technologies and Industry trends
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with business and multi-cultural teams, understand the business requirements and translate them into SAP functionalities
- Attention to detail and high analytical skills
- Excellent result oriented and time-management skills
- A positive attitude in a team environment, effectively interacting with others
