Job Title: Safety Supervisor
Type of Role: Direct Hire
Shift / Hours: 12pm – 9pm or 2pm – 11pm
Location: San Antonio, TX
Salary: $60K – $80K
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage company-wide Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs in accordance with OSHA, DOT, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and the client’s Occupational Safety Management System (OSMS).
- Create safety structure and standardized procedures in three different field locations, ensuring each site adheres to safety KPIs, audit readiness, and compliance protocols.
- Conduct internal audits, facility inspections, and equipment reviews to proactively identify hazards and regulatory gaps.
- Track and analyze key safety performance indicators (TRIR, DART, near misses, corrective actions, audit results), presenting data-driven insights to leadership.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and support long-term corrective action implementation.
- Deliver safety training across departments (drivers, warehouse, maintenance, and admin); ensure all documentation and certifications are complete and audit ready.
- •Stay current with OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations; update internal policies accordingly.
- Establish and oversee Safety Committees at each location to drive employee engagement and accountability.
- Collaborate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed for inspections or certifications.
- Promote a proactive, standardized safety culture across all client locations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly safety performance reports for executive leadership review.
Skills and Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in a safety, EHS, or compliance role—ideally in transportation, logistics, or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to build and enforce safety structure across multiple locations.
- Proficient in conducting audits, tracking safety KPIs, and leading root cause investigations.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, DOT regulations, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
- Skilled in developing training programs and driving culture change through communication and leadership.
- Highly organized and comfortable managing safety documentation, compliance records, and regulatory reports.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel to multiple operational sites.
