Job Title: Facilities / Industrial Engineer

Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Austin, TX
Hourly Range: $80,000 – $110,000 (annual salary equivalent)

We’re seeking a Facilities / Industrial Engineer to support a thriving manufacturing operation in Austin, TX. In this role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to lead projects that enhance facility utilization, drive infrastructure improvements, and support both operational and strategic objectives.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Partner with site leadership and engineering teams to develop long-term space utilization strategies.

• Design equipment and process floor layouts to optimize workflow, safety, and productivity.

• Coordinate utility distribution needs and develop CAD drawings for infrastructure modifications.

• Collaborate with trades to scope, budget, and schedule facility transformation projects.

• Lead execution of change orders, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout implementation.

• Maintain CAD records and become the subject matter expert for facility capabilities and layout.

• Manage the facility work request system, assign resources, and oversee material procurement.

• Support infrastructure initiatives and identify gaps in utility capabilities for manufacturing operations.

• Direct shared resources and balance daily tasks with major project execution.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required

• 1–3 years of experience in engineering or project management

• Proficiency in CAD software (2D modeling)

• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills

• Interest and ability to grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience:

• 3–5 years in a manufacturing facility setting as a Facilities or Industrial Engineer

• Experience with Smartsheet or MS Project

• Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple projects across shared resources

• In-depth knowledge of utility systems and infrastructure design
