Job Title: CNC Machinist
Type of Role: Direct Hire
Shift / Hours: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (Training on Days)
Location: Fairview, Washington
Hourly Rate: $25-$30 DOE + $1.21 differential
Bonus: Performance-based, paid monthly
About the Role:
This position performs machining operations and ensures daily production requirements are met. You will be dedicated to getting the job done right the first time, while promoting a safe work environment focused on continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing.
Responsibilities:

Operate machines while proving out new programs

Check tooling, setups, program coordinates, and other information to ensure quality

Edit programs and make necessary corrections

Document changes or corrections in the control
-
Suggest improvements to shorten run times

Analyze tooling, setups, and procedures to recommend improvements

Load, unload, and pre-position work in fixtures
-
Check parts for conformity using fixed gages and calipers
-
Remain alert to detect improper machining

Collaborate daily with production and engineering teams to solve issues
Skills and Experience:
-
Two-year Machining Technology degree preferred
-
Experience with Machine Shop Math and Horizontal Mill setups (FANUC controls preferred)

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Knowledge of CNC G & M code

Understanding of speeds, feeds, and tooling

Ability to inspect parts for conformance to prints and process dimensions

Able to operate forklift, overhead crane, and other lifting devices

Perform routine preventative equipment maintenance

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area

Strong communication skills and attention to detail
