Job Title: Cherry Picker / Material Handler II
Type of Role: (Contract to Hire)
Shift / Hours:
Sunday – Wednesday
(10 Hour Shifts from 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Location: Ocala, FL
Hourly Range: $19.00 – $20.00
We’re hiring experienced High Reach Forklift Operators and Material Handlers for a prestigious client known for excellence in logistics and distribution. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and grow your career in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Prepares product for shipment both manually and via electric powered industrial equipment with lifting devices, such as motorized pallet jack and/or reach truck.
- Packagers prepare and packages customer products in a safe and efficient manner while following the instructions of Line Lead and Quality Lead.
- Will follow corporate and site[1]specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
- In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Possess strong oral and written communications skills
- Must be able to work in a varied, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit/walk/stand for long periods of time.
- Follow all standards of PPE in the distribution center: for example, wearing steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, safety vest or any other standards provided by site leadership.
