Job Title: Controller
Department: Accounting
Reports To: General Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay: $135-160K depending on experience
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
SUMMARY
This position, reporting to the General Manager, is accountable for leading the Finance team in managing the Company’s financial and accounting policies, systems and processes, internal controls, tax and regulatory requirements, payroll processes and controls, financial reporting and annual business plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list is not all inclusive and may include other duties, as necessary.
· Manage and supervise the operations of the finance department, including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, government and regulatory reporting and costing
Interview, hire, train, and evaluate finance department employees; plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performance; address complaints and resolve employee issues.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, activity reports, financial forecasts, variance analysis and annual budget.
· Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly approved, recorded, depreciated, and disposed of in accordance with Company policy.
· Oversee the management of leases, contracts and other financial commitments in accordance with Company policy.
· Collaborate with external and internal auditors to provide information needed for annual audits and to ensure a smooth audit process.
· Maintain knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.
· Ensure financial reporting is prepared in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
· Maintain an internal control environment in accordance with Bill 198 (“CSOX”) and Company policy guidelines.
· Ensure accurate completion of the payroll.
· Review product costing and analysis of product profitability and future job pricing.
· Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including pricing, capital investments and contracts.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.

· Superb time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and specialized accounting software used by the organization.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A BS degree in Accounting, CPA or Master’s degree (M. A.) preferred, along with a continuing education to remain current on the changing accounting practices is necessary. Five 5 plus years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
