Job Title: Machine Operator 

Type of Role: (Contract)

Expected Length of Contract: (No End Date)

Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm

Location: Capitola, CA

Hourly Range: $18-$20/Hour

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team in Capitola. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and/or manual machines to produce parts that meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate machines (CNC or manual) according to specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality standards.

• Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.

• Perform routine machine maintenance and report any malfunctions or issues.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

• Follow company procedures, quality guidelines, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus.

• Previous experience as a machine operator, CNC operator, or related role preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.

• Proficiency with measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, micrometers).

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
