Balance Staffing is currently recruiting for an E & I Superintendent in White Hall, AR.
An E&I (Electrical and Instrumentation) Superintendent key responsibilities is to directly supervise 13 hourly employees and must come with a level of management to lead and maintain a productive work environment as well as provide knowledge.
This job involves the installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems in an industrial setting, such as manufacturing, oil and gas, or power generation facilities. The specific duties and required qualifications can vary depending on the exact role (e.g., technician, engineer, supervisor) and industry. Common Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform and supervisor scheduled, preventive, and emergency maintenance on a wide variety of equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, control systems, sensors, valves, and transmitters.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnosing and correcting malfunctions in electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime, often using schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Installation: Installing new equipment and systems, including wiring, conduit, and control panels, and assisting with the testing and start-up of new installations to ensure they meet specifications.
- Calibration: Testing and calibrating instruments for measuring and controlling flow, pressure, temperature, and level to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- System Management: Working with industrial control systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and SCADA systems.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols (e.g., Lockout/Tagout procedures, use of PPE) and ensuring all work complies with federal, state, and local regulations and industry codes (e.g., NEC, API).
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate and regulatory-compliant records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Collaboration: Working with engineers, operations personnel, and contractors to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Typical Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree a plus or a combination of HS or equivalent experience
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of E&I Supervisory experience is required
- Skills: Paper mill experience is a plus and CMM is preferred with strong communication skills and leadership skills
- Business minded, technical knowledge and computer skills with high efficiency in project management
