Job Title: Machine Operator 
Type of Role: Contract to Hire
Shift / Hours: Mon-Fri, 6pm – 6am
Location: Selma, Tx
Hourly Range: $16.50 – $18

Role and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair processing equipment, mechanical systems, electrical wiring, control panels, motors, drives and related plant equipment

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment, including hand and power tools tasks, lubrication, inspections, component replacements and adjustments

• Fabricate parts and components as needed to support equipment maintenance and repairs

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production-line changeovers, striving to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met

• Support and ensure adherence to food safety and quality practices: good manufacturing practices (GMP), allergen controls, HACCP, SQF, and other regulatory requirements applicable to the food processing facility

• Maintain accurate documentation of PM activities, equipment status, repairs, changeovers, and safety related records

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years (or more depending on level) of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, equipment troubleshooting in an industrial/manufacturing/food-processing environment

• Knowledge of electrical components, wiring, control panels; ability to troubleshoot up to 480 V systems is a plus

• Strong mechanical skills: shafts, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, belts, couplings, hydraulics/pneumatics where applicable

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools; ability to fabricate parts and work at heights or elevated platforms when required
