Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Type of Role: Contract to Hire
Expected Length of Contract: Temp-to-Hire (based on performance and business needs)
Shift / Hours: 0330p-1200a Tue-Sat
Location: Austin, TX
Hourly Range: Starting at $18.50 per hour
About the Job
We are seeking detail-oriented Quality Control Inspectors to inspect electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, components, and parts to ensure they meet established specifications for reliability and workmanship. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, identifying defects, and supporting manufacturing excellence.
Role and Responsibilities

Perform visual inspections of electronic cards, subassemblies, and systems to verify compliance with quality standards

Utilize gauges, templates, microscopes, and other inspection tools

Ensure all required process operations have been completed prior to inspection

Enter quality data into electronic and/or manual systems

Identify and report unusual defects or low process yields
-
Provide timely feedback to manufacturing regarding non-conforming products

Complete all required quality documentation accurately

Perform process audits and assist with interpretation of quality standards

Support disposition of non-conforming materials/products

Assist in training or guiding team members (level dependent)
Skills and Experience
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-
Experience requirements vary by level (0–7+ years of quality or related experience)

Understanding of inspection techniques and electronic assembly processes

Ability to read and interpret moderately complex instructions, schematics, and diagrams
-
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Experience using microscopes, measuring tools, and inspection equipment

IPC certification required for higher levels
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
