Job Title: Repair Test Technician
Expected Length of Contract: Long-term
Shift / Hours:
12-hour shifts including weekends. Schedule is 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Flexibility is extremely important.
Location: Socorro, TX 79928
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Repair Test Technician is responsible for performing technical testing and evaluation of products, systems, or components to ensure servers meet established quality and technical standards. This role supports product reliability, defect identification, and continuous improvement within production and development environments.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and differentiate various barcode types used in daily workflow

Recognize different rack types and understand their designated purposes

Place work units into the correct racks according to established procedures

Perform HiPot (high potential) testing to ensure electrical safety compliance

Inspect and verify electrical outlets and sockets for proper functionality

Support team development by sharing knowledge and promoting safety and quality standards
Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of systems experience; 3 years preferred

Strong working knowledge of Linux

Experience using testing equipment, measurement tools, and diagnostic instruments

Ability to perform electrical and safety tests, including HiPot testing

Familiarity with barcode systems and rack placement procedures

Hardware troubleshooting and basic command-line experience

English proficiency required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
