Job Title: Warehouse Associate 
Type of Role: (Contract)
Expected Length of Contract: (2-3 Months)
Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm 
Location: Fremont, CA
Pay Rate: $23.00/Hour

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate – Inventory Cycle Count is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through daily cycle counts, reconciliation, and inventory audits. This role supports warehouse operations by ensuring inventory integrity, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with warehouse and inventory control teams to maintain operational efficiency and accuracy in support of production and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control & Cycle Counting

• Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, components, and finished goods according to established schedules.Verify item numbers, descriptions, quantities, and locations for accuracy.

• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies using warehouse management systems (WMS) and root cause analysis.

• Document and report inventory variances to supervisors and inventory control teams.

• Assist with physical inventory counts, audits, and recounts as required.

Warehouse Operations Support

• Ensure materials are stored in correct bin locations and properly labeled.

• Support receiving, stocking, picking, and material movements as needed.

• Maintain organized and clean inventory locations following 5S standards.

• Assist in correcting inventory location errors and updating system records.

Systems & Documentation

• Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, scanners, and inventory tools to track materials.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.

• Generate reports and assist with inventory tracking metrics and analysis.

Compliance & Safety

• Follow all safety guidelines, warehouse procedures, and company policies.

• Ensure compliance with inventory control processes and quality standards.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1+ year of warehouse, inventory, or cycle counting experience preferred.

• Experience using RF scanners, WMS, or ERP systems.

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, data entry, inventory systems).

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or material handling in manufacturing or high-volume warehouse environments.

• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.

• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.

• Familiarity with automated or technology-driven warehouse environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

• Frequent reaching, bending, and repetitive motions.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced warehouse and inventory control environment.

• May require overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts depending on operational needs.
