Job Title: CDL Team Lead
Shift / Hours: 6pm – 6am
Location: San Antonio, TX
Pay Range: $20 – $21
A CDL Team Lead coordinates team member work activities for the yard management department. This role ensures accurate accountability of equipment movements and delivery cycles for raw materials and finished goods. The Team Lead supports daily yard operations, ensures compliance with safety and operational standards, and serves as a key point of contact for team members during the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all yard management procedures are followed.
- Ensure documentation is created and entered into the computerized system for all yard activities.
- Ensure team compliance with company, client, and governmental policies and regulations.
- Support equipment maintenance coordination and reporting.
- Ensure work policies and procedures are completed properly and in a timely manner while maintaining OSHA and environmental compliance.
- Observe operations within the assigned area and report any abnormal issues to leadership.
- Support transportation routes and operations as needed.
- Continue developing knowledge of job-related yard operations.
- Assist with monitoring equipment movements and delivery cycles for raw materials and finished goods.
- Help maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Serve as a point of contact for team members regarding yard activities and operational questions.
- Support the overall workflow of the yard management team.
- Requires flexibility with job assignments and operational needs.
- Provide hands-on support when necessary to keep operations running efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support yard operations and company goals.
Skills & Qualifications:
- CDL Class A License required.
- Prefer three to five years of experience in local or national traffic coordination.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate traffic movements and delivery cycles.
- Good attendance, performance, and safety record required.
