Job Title: Welder
Type of Role: Temp to hire
Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday (7am – 3pm)
Location: Southside San Antonio
Hourly Range: $21 – $24
A Certified Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding using TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components. This role works closely with production teams, supervisors, and quality personnel to ensure welds meet required specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The Certified Welder interprets blueprints and technical drawings, prepares materials, and inspects completed welds to ensure accuracy and durability. This position plays a key role in supporting daily production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing or fabrication environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, precision, and quality workmanship.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on a variety of materials and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces prior to welding.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are functioning properly.
- Follow all safety regulations and welding procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and project deadlines.
Skills and Experience:
- Certified Welder required (AWS certification or equivalent preferred)
- Minimum 2–3 years of welding experience.
- Proven experience with TIG, MIG, and Stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with steel and other metals in a production environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or automotive industries.
