Job Title: Final Electronics Quality Inspector
Type of Role: Temp to Hire

Hourly Range: $18.70- $23.55
Electronics Quality Inspector
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for performing detailed inspections and tests on finished electronic products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role is critical for preventing defective
products from reaching the market and often requires strong technical skills and acute attention to detail..
Nature of Duties / Responsibilities
– Conduct final inspection: Perform comprehensive visual and functional inspections of finished electronic and electromechanical assemblies for defects, ensuring they meet specified standards (e.g., IPC-A-610).
– Interpret technical documents: Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions to verify component placement, polarity, and overall assembly.
– Utilize inspection tools: Use precision measuring and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated optical inspection (AOI) systems to check dimensions and functionality.
– Document non-conformance: Identify, document, and report all non-conforming materials and workmanship issues. Initiate corrective action requests and assist in performing root cause analysis.
– Verify rework: Confirm that all rework and repairs performed on assemblies are completed correctly and meet quality standards before the product is released.
– Maintain records: Document all final inspection results, test data, and traceability information in the quality management or ERP system.
– Adhere to standards: Follow all established quality management system procedures (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and safety protocols, including electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions.
– Communicate effectively: Provide clear and timely feedback to production, engineering, and management regarding quality issues, trends, or potential improvements.
– Support continuous improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new inspection methods and quality procedures.
Education and Experience:
– Education: High school diploma or GED, with an Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
– Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within an electronics manufacturing environment.
– Certifications: IPC-A-610 certification is preferred
– Technical expertise: The ability to read and interpret electronic and mechanical drawings. Experience with soldering and an understanding of electronic components are highly desirable.
– Attention to detail: Excellent visual acuity and meticulous attention to detail are critical for identifying even minor defects in assemblies.
– Computer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with quality management software or ERP systems is necessary for data entry and reporting.
