Position: Quality Team Lead

Shift: Rotation Schedule
Pay Range: $18.75
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Quality Team Lead to support quality operations within a steel manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring product quality standards are met while leading and supporting a team on the production floor. The ideal candidate brings strong quality control experience, leadership capability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily quality operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer specifications
- Perform inspections of materials and finished products to verify quality and identify defects
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols, promoting a strong safety culture across the team
- Train, coach, and guide team members on quality processes, procedures, and best practices
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, reports, and inspection records
- Collaborate with production and leadership teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
- Ensure team members are following established processes and meeting performance expectations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in quality control, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Prior team lead or supervisory experience required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Knowledge of quality inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Understanding of safety standards and practices in an industrial environment
- Reliable, dependable, and able to lead by example
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
