Job Title: IT Level 2 – IT/Network Tech

Type of Role: (Contract to Hire)

Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Location: Morgan Hill, CA

Hourly Range: $35 – $40
 

Main responsibilities are:

• Ensure network reliability by interfacing with internet service providers, troubleshooting server connection issues, etc.
• Ensure operation of server-connected systems (Fishbowl, Quickbooks, etc) 
• Support IT tickets from users across North America

Interface with IT management in France to maintain security protocols.

Some duties will include daily, weekly and monthly as listed below:

• Daily Tasks:
• Review new and existing Helpdesk tickets.
• Perform Helpdesk level 2 tickets.
• Monitor VEEAM backups, Ubiquiti WiFi, and Office 365 suspicious logins.
• Oversee infrastructure health via LibreNMS.
• Review security camera motion events.
• Stay updated on the latest security incidents and vulnerabilities.

• Weekly Tasks:
• Monitor Sophos antivirus, DUO, and FortiCloud logs.
• Check WASABI storage and backup North American firewall configurations.

• Monthly Tasks:
• Check Active Directory for errors.
• Test and apply Windows updates.
• Manage monthly bills and renewals for IT services.
• Plan for upcoming projects.
