Job Title: Material Lead for the Raw Material Department

Type of Role: Long-term / Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours: Mon-Fri 8a-5p for Training and as needed and 6a – 2:30p

Location: Far East El Paso, TX 

Hourly Range: $17.00 – $19.00

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Material Lead to support material handling operations in a high?volume assembly environment. This role oversees a team of material handlers, ensures accurate and timely delivery of components to production lines, and maintains safety, quality, and inventory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and train material handlers to support daily warehouse and assembly operations.
• Oversee receiving, put?away, picking, staging, kitting, and delivery of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and ensure ERP/WMS accuracy.
• Enforce ESD, safety, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and purchasing to support build schedules.
• Resolve material shortages, delays, and workflow issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S and Lean practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years material handling experience, including 2+ years in a lead role.
• Experience in high?volume warehouse or electronics/tech manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control and ERP/WMS systems.
• Familiarity with ESD and warehouse safety guidelines.

Nice-to-Have: Bilingual (English/Spanish), forklift certification, Lean/Six Sigma exposure.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Climate?controlled warehouse/assembly setting.
• Standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• May operate forklifts or pallet jacks (training may be required).
• Flexible scheduling, including possible weekends or holidays.
