Job Title:  Grinder 

Type of Role: Temp to Hire

Shift / Hours: 1st Shift 

Location: Fremont, Ca 

Hourly Range: $20 -$22

Job Purpose:

The Grinder will polish every part and gives the necessary finish which meets requirements for release (reduced welds, cosmetic class and no burrs). Checks and inspects the quality of incoming parts against predetermined tolerances in terms of stripes and marks.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate various grinders and oscillators.
• Operate various hand tools.
• Review drawings for special instructions such as finish specified prior to starting the job.
• Inspect work received from the previous operation and inspect again before moving completed work to the next operation
• Remove rough edges from metal parts with files.
• Use a grainier to apply the designated finish to metal parts.
• Recognizes equipment and product problems, notifies supervisor and/or troubleshoots errors in order to achieve optimum production levels.
• Assist with loading the carts and other material handling duties
• Follows all company and facility policies including quality, safety, conduct and attendance.
• Must have experience in drilling, reaming and tapping holes of holes in machined parts and sheet metal.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-2  years of related experience
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must be able to read and understand English
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Need to be flexible with changes 
• Able to lift 50 lbs

This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
